I’m Ramona “Mona” Smith, a REALTOR® serving Maryland and Washington, DC. I help buyers, sellers, renters, investors, and families navigating major life transitions make confident real estate decisions with clarity, education, and a plan.

Before real estate, I built a successful career spanning more than 25 years in the beauty industry as a salon owner, Senior Cosmetologist, educator, mentor, and entrepreneur. Years behind the chair taught me something that has become central to the way I serve my real estate clients: listen first, understand what people truly need, educate them about their options, and build relationships that last.

That journey also inspired my book, The Chair Made Me Rich, which shares lessons about entrepreneurship, relationships, financial growth, and recognizing the value in the opportunities already around us.

Since becoming a REALTOR® in 2021, I’ve brought that same entrepreneurial mindset and personal approach to real estate. Whether I’m helping a first-time buyer understand the path to homeownership, assisting a homeowner preparing to sell, working with an investor, or helping someone right-size into their next chapter, my goal is simple: educate, advocate, negotiate, and help my clients make informed decisions with confidence.
